Theatrical Photo Shoot Staging Tips

If you are a conductor…

we suggest you bring your baton if you use one. Many conductors we’ve worked with also “conduct” a memorized piece to an imaginary ensemble during the shoot.

If you are an instrumentalist…

you may want to bring your instrument if it is portable. Some of the most effective photos are captured when musicians play a favorite piece during the shoot. If your instrument is not portable, we can come to you for shots of you and your piano, organ, or percussion.

If this is a theatrical cast photo…

it’s best either for all cast members to be in costume and make-up or for none of you to be. This is especially important for make-up as light shines differently on a made-up face than on a natural face. Character props are also welcome.
