Portrait Photography
It’s all about trust, and, time. Most adults are not particularly eager to pose for a formal portrait. Yet, you need to get that updated, professional head shot. Two things to keep in mind to help you get it done – I really like people and I take the extra time to help you relax so the real “you” shines forth. As we chat I observe how you naturally move and how the lights play with your face. Together we can get the best looks you need.
Children have great imaginations but are often wary of new places. However, I find them constantly entertaining and I love to work with them. They’re often big hams. Frequently I create mini theatrical sets in my studio with props and scenery. Then I get right down on the floor and play with them, waiting for that perfect moment, and snap away. The usual comment is, “Mommy, do we have to go home now? Can’t we stay?”
Corporate, Company group shots almost always are restricted by time. No one has enough and getting everyone together is a challenge. Note that I can come to you with my lights and background(s). As a bonus, you can schedule individual head shots on the same day.
Event Photography
Big get-togethers, whether for a family or a business can be fun, but potentially awkward. Well, I’m a bit of a comedienne and have smoothed many a way so that everyone has a good time. I enjoy meeting new faces and personalities! Lots of opportunities for big and little groupings of portraits, then speeches, awards and so on. Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries, your charity fund raiser – it’s all theater to me and you’re the stars.
Theatrical Photography
As mentioned on my About page, I have an extensive background in the performing arts, with a degree in opera performance, former co-director of a music and dance ensemble and so on. Let’s just say, I know how to anticipate and capture the “moment” because I’ve been there. I understand performers and directors and know what they want and need.
Fine Art Photography
Often, you’ll find me mesmerized by a creation at 2:00 and 3:00 AM with a picture that has captured my imagination. Those hours that feed the heart and soul are precious. Nature, still life or set-ups in the studio that tell a story – all are ongoing inspiration for the next piece of “fine art” – resulting in something for the next gallery show, for your wall or miniaturized for your desk or given as a greeting card.

Photography Workshops
Teaching is a way to pass on knowledge and love and potentially live forever! I’ve been teaching most of my adult life in one capacity or another – swimming, cooking, singing, dance and more recently photography – Beginning Photography and Photoshop Basics for individuals or groups. I love beginners. Every time I teach, I learn and so improve my craft.
